Venlafaxine का उपयोग depression और कुछ anxiety disorders के इलाज में किया जा सकता है। यह prescription medicine है और इसे केवल डॉक्टर के निर्देश पर लेना चाहिए।

कैसे काम करती है

यह दिमाग में serotonin और norepinephrine नामक chemical messengers की उपलब्धता बढ़ाता है, जिससे mood और anxiety के लक्षणों को नियंत्रित करने में मदद मिल सकती है।

संभावित आम दुष्प्रभाव

संभावित सामान्य दुष्प्रभावों में ये शामिल हो सकते हैं:

• मितली
• मुंह सूखना
• चक्कर या नींद आना
• अधिक पसीना
• कब्ज
• नींद में परेशानी
• यौन समस्याएं

इस्तेमाल से पहले सावधानी

Venlafaxine या इसके घटकों से allergy होने पर इसे न लें। MAO inhibitors के साथ इसका उपयोग नहीं करना चाहिए। Bipolar disorder, mania, seizures, glaucoma, high blood pressure, heart, liver या kidney disease, bleeding problems, pregnancy या breastfeeding के बारे में डॉक्टर को बताएं। अन्य antidepressants, serotonergic medicines, blood thinners, painkillers और alcohol के बारे में भी बताएं। इसे अचानक बंद करने से withdrawal symptoms हो सकते हैं।
